Experts for scrapping blanket ban on ELVs
New Delhi: Those opposed to stopping access to fuel for an end-of-life vehicle (ELV) argue that a vehicle’s age should not be the only parameter for its polluting potential. Environmentalists feel the same, stressing that a blanket ban on old vehicles is ineffective and a better option is an advanced on-road emissions monitoring system. The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered that there would be no coercive action against 10-yearold diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles in Delhi, effectively reversing its 2018 endorsement of an 2014 directive by the National Green Tribunal.

E20 petrol in India: What is it and why it’s being rolled out
India’s push for E20 petrol is part of the country’s plan to cut crude oil imports and reduce tailpipe carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The rollout has been faster than expected, with E20 fuel already available pan-India and well ahead of the original 2030 target. But the speed of E20 adoption and the lack of choice of lower ethanol blends like E10 – widely used until now – have triggered an uproar. Motorists are fearful of the harmful effects of E20 to engines that are not compliant with this fuel. We take a look at what exactly ethanol-blended petrol is, why vehicle owners are worried, and more E20 petrol rollout news.
How does E20 fuel affect efficiency and performance of your vehicle?

Here, we list out the steps one should take to mitigate potential long-term damage of using E20 fuel on cars that are not compatibile.
